Nigeria YongXing Charity in Action-- Remember the Transformer Donation Activity in Ogua Community 2022-8-30

The year of 2022 is the tenth year since Yongxing Steel Company has rooted in Nigeria. With the company’s continuous development and growth, the relationship between the company and local residents has become more profound. Ogua community is the host community of Yongxing Steel Company. And the company can not develop in the long run without the support and cooperation from the Ogua community. The company considered that Ogua community have been facing the long-term dilemma of insufficient power supply, so it donated a 1000KVA transformer costing 20,000,000 naira to improve the power supply situation in the host community. The advent of the transformer will significantly improve the condition of the infrastructure in the community and increase the electricity demand of the residents.

The transformer donation opening ceremony was held at 10:00 am on August 25^th 2022 in the local community square in Ogua community, Benin city Edo sate, Nigeria. There were around 200 guests, the community head Enogie, the governor’s security officer, the commissioner of environment and sustainability, the permanent secretary of environment and sustainability, the state police station representative, the military representative, the local police station representative and other government departments’ representatives attended. The ceremony site was crowded with people, the atmosphere was warm, full of joy and friendship. The commissioner of environment and sustainability gave a fantastic speech at the ceremony, and pointed out: the relationship between the community and the company was as tight as sealed lips. Only by working together can we achieve a win-win. The community head and the community women representatives also said with the local media: Ogua community was extremely appreciated for the charity of the transformer donation from Yongxing Steel Company. Local people have always had a great liking for Chinese enterprises. The quality of helping others is the reason why the Chinese are welcomed here. Other guests at the ceremony also spoke highly of Yongxing Steel Company’s move. The friendship between the company and the local people has been further consolidated and strengthened.

 Ten years of hard work has brought fruitful results. While Yongxing Steel Company spurs itself to make continuous progress, it has never forgotten to make contributions to the local community actively with a grateful heart.
